An elderly woman with dementia's heartfelt rendition of Frank Sinatra's My Way is now available to buy online to raise money for charity after a clip of her performing went viral on Facebbok.

Margaret Mackie, 83, first stunned her care home in Edinburgh when she sang the tune alongside the home's butler and part-time singer, Jamie Lee Morley, at the Christmas party.

Despite struggling to remember one day from another due to her condition, Margaret was word-perfect.

A heartwarming clip of the performance has since been shared thousands of times after being posted to Facebook and Jamie, 31, couldn't resist taking Margaret's musical journey a step further.

After heading to My Way at Sound Sound Studio, the duo have now officially released their version of the famous song to raise funds for Alzheimer’s Society and Dementia UK - and have high hopes that it will top the charts.

Speaking to the Daily Record, Jamie said: "The session was amazing. Margaret was such a pro, she was calm, patient and sang brilliantly. We only needed two takes each, we recorded the track within an hour."

Jamie wrote on Facebook: "After a very stressful few weeks trying to sort out all the legal side of things for our version of 'My Way', I can now confirm I have been granted copyright/licensing for the song and we can now officially release it as a charity single.

"I really hope you all still get behind us and download the song and help raise as much money for the selected charities as possible.
