ITV bosses are actively calling for producers to blacklist stars who have X-rated OnlyFans accounts from appearing on their shows, Daily Star can reveal.
The channel is concerned with the rise of explicit subscription based sites amongst reality stars – with some producers even calling it a deal-breaker in terms of casting.
More and more famous faces have turned to OnlyFans which allowed them to post exclusive - and often sexually suggestive content - to bring in extra cash during the pandemic.
A source told Daily Star: "ITV are now against talent with pay-per-view fans sites such as OnlyFans when looking at stars being involved in new shows.
"The decision isn't aligned to any one show in particular but across the board.
"It's thought that such explicit work isn't compatible with their audience."
A rep for ITV declined to comment when contacted by Daily Star.
The TV insider added: "To be fair to ITV it's not just them.
"Channels in general are cracking down – it wouldn't be an exaggeration to say it can be a deal-breaker for some producers."
The Only Way Is Essex star Lauren Goodger regularly promotes her OnlyFans page via her official Instagram account.
Meanwhile, Megan Barton Hanson, Kerry Katona and Danielle Lloyd are also on the platform.
It's not just women either, countless showbiz hunks are on the platform including Stephen Bear and Katie Price's ex husband Kieran Hayler.
Kieran set up his $20 a month page in August last year with the support of his fiancé Michelle Pentecost.
A source told Daily Star Online at the time: "Kieran is in the best shape of his life and has seen other personalities make a lot of money from OnlyFans.
"He adores his family and would do anything for them.
"Yes it's full-frontal but he has no plans to be posting duo content. Michelle is 100% behind him and supports the venture."
Earlier this month, Kerry told Daily Star how she got her daughter's to help take her sexy snaps for her OnlyFans.
Opening up about her suggestive shots, Kerry said: "My mum used to have one of my Page 3 photographs up on her living room wall.
"I don’t do anything explicit. What’s the difference between standing there in my underwear and standing there in a bikini?”
Speaking frankly, Kerry says the real reason she’s sharing risqué shots is that she needed to pay bills.
"Money! In the first lockdown, we were struggling to pay the rent," she explained when asked about what pushed her to sign up to OnlyFans.
She added: "I go topless on holiday because I don’t want bikini lines.
"Paps take pictures and sell them for a s**tload of money - so why don’t I take control and do it myself?”
Admitting that her snaps for the over 18s site are, “more slutty” than a beach pic, Kerry declares: "Financially it’s amazing, and it’s given me a lot of confidence."
