Caprice Bourret is pulling out of Dancing On Ice “for the sake of her mental health”.
The mum of two, 48, is upset about the “vicious rumours” since she split from pro partner Hamish Gaman.
A source confirmed “broken” Caprice had told ITV that she would not be dancing again.
She was branded a “lazy diva” by unnamed show insiders amid bullying claims over her original professional partner Hamish.
She has since been abused and booed by fans of the show.
We can reveal the model has seen a medical professional a number of times over the past two weeks amid fears for her mental wellbeing. She was advised not to continue. The source added: “She’s a strong woman, but when her kids are coming home from school upset because other kids are repeating lies about their mum, it’s hard not to let it affect you.
The lazy diva comment could not be further from the truth but sadly it seems to have stuck.
“She’s a loyal friend and is always the first to offer her help. It’s been so hurtful reading all the rubbish that’s being said about her.”
Last month, host Holly Willoughby told viewers that Caprice and Hamish had “parted ways”.
No explanation was given. Caprice was then given Swiss hunk Oscar Peter to dance with and was gushing about how kind he is on social media. But it appears the damage had already been done.
Hamish, 36, who still has a role in the show, spoke out on Friday and told his followers: “I’m comforted knowing the truth always comes out in the end.” ITV declined to comment last nigh
