Conor Hazard could leave Celtic on loan again as Dundee eye return for keeper

James McPake wants to bring the Northern Ireland back to Dens Park next season.

Daily Record - Transfer News Latest

Dundee are keen to land Conor Hazard back on-loan from Celtic for their Premiership return.

The Northern Ireland international had a successful loan at Dens Park in the 2019-20 season.

Dundee boss James McPake tried to get him back for the last campaign but Hazard was handed a new contract and also got a run in the Celtic first-team.

Celtic struggled for a consistent No. 1 with Vasilis Barkas failing to live up to his big-money price tag and Scott Bain also was in and out.

New boss Ange Postecoglou has come in but he is likely to bring in a new keeper with Brighton’s Matt Ryan a top target.

That could knock Hazard further down the pecking order and he is at an age where he needs first-team football.

Celtic are aware of Dundee’s interest and could strike a deal once Postecoglou nail’s down his own No.1.

If Hazard did travel north again he would have to fight it out with Adam Legzdins for the gloves.
