A FOOTBALL boss who stripped naked in front of a 21-year-old woman physiotherapist has won a court fight to prove he was unfairly sacked.

John "Cowboy" McCormack took his clothes off after telling his players at Hamilton Accies: "Get your tackle out lads - Jillian's coming in to see who's got the biggest t*****".

Accies chairman Ronnie MacDonald sacked notorious hardman McCormack over the incident, and claims that he had bullied players.

But McCormack sued the club. And yesterday, despite making it clear that he did not believe much of his evidence, a judge found in his favour.

Lord Woolman said the charges against McCormack were not enough to justify a summary sacking and noted he was not given any written warnings.

Lawyers will meet soon to set the size of McCormack's pay-off. He asked for more than £93,000.

The incident with physio Jillian Galloway happened at a pre-season tournament in 2008, weeks after McCormack was made assistant to Hamilton manager Billy Reid.

The Court of Session heard that before Accies' last game of the tourney, McCormack made sexual comments about Jillian in his team talk.

Then, after the match, he made his "get your tackle out" remark before undressing in front of Jillian and taking a shower. Jillian was embarrassed but didn't say anything for fear of harming her career.

The chairman fired McCormack over his conduct, as well as his "effing and blinding" at players.

Lord Woolman said he "unhesitatingly" preferred the evidence of other witnesses when it clashed with McCormack's.

But he added that he was not convinced by the claims of bullying against him.
