Jesy Nelson officially resigns from company she set up with Little Mix ahead of her solo career launch... as her bandmates announce 10th anniversary album

Jesy Nelson has officially retired from the business she set up with her Little Mix bandmates to look after their earnings.

A termination of appointment for the singer, 30, as a director of Eternal Dance Media Ltd was registered with Companies House on Thursday.

The star left the group - now Leigh-Anne Pinnock, 29, Perrie Edwards, 28, and Jade Thirlwall, 28 - in December 2020 after nine years saying her participation in the group had taken a toll on her mental health.

As a foursome they recorded six UK top 10 albums and four number one singles and they set up Eternal Dance Media Ltd to net their earnings as they started to rise in the early days of their fame.

MailOnline has contacted Jesy's representatives for comment.

The news comes as Jesy continues to tease the release of her debut solo single, seemingly called Boyz.

She was seen filming her new music video with a huge troupe of dancers on Monday night, as she prepares to go head-to-head with Little Mix in the charts.

She was surrounded by street dancers during an evening shoot in north London, after teasing her much-anticipated solo debut earlier this month.

Jesy could be seen dressed in an edgy white tracksuit jacket and shorts as she danced along to the upbeat track.

The troupe of dancers could be seen copying the same moves as they recorded the video on a street in the capital.

Set for release on November 12, the LP will include their greatest hits and some brand new material in a release which comes hot on the heels of former bandmate's widely-teased solo venture, believed to be called Boyz.

Alongside a video montage, including their time on The X Factor in 2011, the trio said of their follow-up to 2020's Confetti: 'Between Us 12.11...

'We are so excited about this album. It includes all our hits, as well as some brand new songs we can't wait for you to hear. We can't thank you all enough for your support over the last ten years...

Yay: Little Mix have announced their first album since Jesy Nelson's exit from the group

'This album is for each and every one of you who's listened to our music, bought an album or sung your heart out at one of our shows. We wouldn't be here releasing this album if it wasn't for you #10YearsOfLittleMix. Pre-order link in bio.'

Meanwhile Jesy, who has recently signed with Ariana Grande's label Republic Records, is getting ready to drop her first single as a solo artist, with the track potentially coming out at the same time as Little Mix's.

A source told The Sun: 'Little Mix have had big plans for their tenth anniversary for a long time. They started those discussions while Jesy was still in the group.

'Plans did change after they delayed their tour and Perrie and Leigh-Anne got pregnant. But a celebration of their music feels like the perfect way to mark the occasion.

'It is unfortunate and quite awkward for them all that it will be coming out around the same time as Jesy’s music. But there is nothing they can do, really. They won’t change their plans just to avoid her. They are going to make the most of their incredible decade of achievements.'
