'I have big plans for it': Robbie Williams confirms 'new song' with Kylie Minogue after the pair 'secretly record together' two decades after the success of their hit Kids

Their song Kids became an instant classic when it stormed the charts upon its release over 20 years ago.

And Robbie Williams and Kylie Minogue are said to be teaming up once more and have reportedly recorded a new single together in secret.

According to the Daily Star Online, Robbie said: 'I have a song with Miss Kylie Minogue, I have big plans for it if she is up for it. I have big plans.'

A source added to the publication: 'Kylie and Robbie have recorded a new song together. It's their first collab since Kids in 2000 and Robbie is keen to make it a single.

'Due to Covid there are no concrete plans for the release. It won't be a mini drop like Kylie recently did with her Studio 2054 remix of Real Groove with Dua Lipa.'

MailOnline has contacted representatives for Robbie Williams and Kylie Minogue for comment.

Robbie and Kylie's teams are reportedly yet to plan the details of the release of the new single.

Kids reached number two on the UK charts when it was released in 2000 with the music video containing several references to the movie Grease.

A new single with Kylie could provide a further boost to Robbie's bank balance after he reportedly earned £19.8 million in 2019, despite the fact he and Ayda left their lucrative role at The X Factor.

According to reports from The Sun, updated financial records at Companies House showed the singer, 46, had brought in £54,000 a day from his shows over the course of the year.

His firm You're Not Famous is said to have declared the money comes from 'goods and services net of VAT in relation to the live performances of the artist known as Robbie Williams.'

Robbie's firm is said to have claimed the singer's sales saw him earn £5.1 million in the UK and £14.7 million in Europe, and in cities across the globe.

After expenses were taken into account for the year, Robbie allegedly had an £8.9 million profit in total.

Robbie enjoyed a busy year of shows in 2019, including hosting a Christmas Party at Wembley Arena and headlining BST festival in Hyde Park.

Robbie and Ayda revealed in April 2019 that they had quit The X Factor after just one year on the judging panel, despite their £10 million pay packets.

The couple took to Instagram to share the announcement at the time, and wrote: 'A quick update from Team Williams… it's been a very busy year so far and Vegas has been incredible - we cannot wait for June and July to do it all again...

'We've got some very big announcements coming soon - but we can't reveal all yet'.

'Sadly as it's impossible to do everything, we're gutted to tell you we won't be able to return to The X Factor this year.

'We will be working on projects with Simon going forward - and as huge fans of the show, we will still be tuning into The X Factor, voting and winding Simon up!'
