Blackburn Rovers defender Tyler Magloire clocks incredible top speed of 10.6 metres per second... even faster than Kylian Mbappe AND Usain Bolt's average speed when he set his 100m world record
- Tyler Magloire has clocked a top speed of 10.6 metres per second for Blackburn
- The Englishman's pace is quicker than Kylian Mbappe's 10.55m/s set last week
- His turn of pace outdoes Usain Bolt's average when set the 100m world record
- Magloire made his Rovers debut last month and looks set for a bright future
Kylian Mbappe raised eyebrows when he clocked a speed of 10.55 metres per second last weekend against Monaco.
But the rapid Frenchman has been eclipsed - by a 20-year-old England defender.
Blackburn Rovers have recorded their young starlet Tyler Magloire reaching a phenomenal top speed of 10.6m/s, according to Sky Sports News.
Tyler Magloire has a recorded top speed of 10.6 metres per second at Blackburn Rovers
That is faster than Kylian Mbappe's impressive 10.55m/s recorded against Monaco last week
That pace not only puts him ahead of Paris Saint-Germain star Mbappe, but it also beats Usain Bolt's average speed when he set the 100m world record in Berlin back in 2009.
Magloire has played for Rovers since the age of nine and made his debut for Tony Mowbray's men in a 3-0 win over Wigan last month.
'Nobody beats him in a foot race,' quipped Mowbray after handing the youngster his first start.
Unsurprisingly, Magloire has smashed Blackburn's club record for top speed, which was previously held by Josh King.
His pace allows Rovers to adapt their style of play to feature a much higher defensive line. As a result, he looks set for a bright future, despite a difficult start to the season when he injured his posterior and medial cruciate ligaments in his knee.
It is also faster than Usain Bolt's average speed when he broke the world record in the 100m
'It was tough,' he told Sky Sports News. 'While I was injured, I spent quite a bit of time with the club psychologist. He helped me keep my head, made sure when I came back I was ready to go again.'
While he may pip Bolt's average pace when he smashed a 9.58 100 metres at the world championships in Berlin, Magloire still has someway to go match his top speed, which clocked in at 12.42m/s.
But if even Mbappe can't catch him, you certainly won't find many Championship forwards leaving Magloire for dust.
