Tottenham have revealed the prices for season tickets at their under-construction new stadium - and they will become the most expensive in Britain.

Spurs moved out of their traditional White Hart Lane home at the end of the 2016-17 season in order to construct a new 62,000-seat arena on the site. They hope to move in for the 2018-19 campaign, and have been playing at Wembley in the meantime.

On Monday, the club revealed how much the season tickets will cost, including in the south stand, which will be a single tier for 17,500 fans - the largest of its type in Europe.

The cheapest season ticket anywhere in the stadium will cost £795 for adults, £595 for young adults - those aged 18 to 21 - and £397.50 for seniors and children.

In the south stand, the cheapest adult season tickets are £875, while the most expensive are £1,995, as they are everywhere in the ground.

There are also £2,200 tickets that give access to a private bar and complimentary food as part of Spurs' 1882 season ticket plus scheme.

These prices make Tottenham's the most expensive season tickets in the Premier League, should the prices for the 2017-18 campaign be continued by all clubs next year.

SPURS TO RECRUIT ARMY VETERANS

The reveal of ticket prices comes as Spurs prepare for life at the new ground, as they also launched a recruitment drive for ex-military servicemen and women to become stewards, security staff and hosts at their stadium when it opens.

They hope to fill 50 full-time and part-time jobs with army veterans, making it the largest recruitment scheme of its kind across the division.

Successful candidates will go through the appropriate training in time to start their new role when Tottenham's host their first Premier League fixture in the early weeks of next season.

The price is a significant hike on Tottenham's prices for this current season at Wembley, where the cheapest season tickets were available for £645, according to the BBC's Price of Football survey.

Fans can pay £995 for an adult season ticket at the front of the south stand, in areas designated as possible safe standing zones in the future. The away end will also feature some safe standing room.

Child's season tickets are not available in these parts, with the North West corner to feature a designated family area for parents and young supporters.

Spurs say that 42,000 season tickets are available at the new ground - double the number which were available at the old White Hart Lane.

They also boast that there will be over 60 food and drink outlets at the ground, including a 65-metre long Goal Line Bar - the longest bar in the UK - and all outlets will be cashless.

At this stage, however, there are no seats in place but the roof lift has started and the structure is inside the stadium.

The new stadium should be completed in time for the kick-off of the 2018-19 season
