S’cute!

Who needs to travel to a hobbit-style house resort when you can just build your own in the backyard? Wooden Wonders, a carpentry shop out of Maine that also has an Etsy storefront, created a Hobbit Hole playhouse perfectly suited to kids (and fun-loving adults).

The timber tiny homes, which we first spotted over on Apartment Therapy, bends into a hill-like arch with a point at the top. The front facade has a circular door and window that make entering the playhouse feel like you’re crawling through a portal to another world. The inside is simple but charming, with roughly 60 square feet of space surrounded by timber walls, a blank canvas for children with wild imaginations.

All Hobbit Holes come with prefabricated parts, fasteners, and instructions on how to put the shed together—all you need is some time and basic tools like a drill, level, and screwdriver.

The Hobbit Holes (which start at around $2,850) were originally designed for children, and their dimensions reflect that—the tallest point of the playhouse reaches just five feet and five inches. But Wooden Wonders also takes special orders for adults who want to use them as tool sheds, offices, chicken coops, and saunas.
