How Shrewsbury Town fans have reacted to Abu Ogogo's expected move to Coventry City

The 28-year-old Shrews' skipper is understood to be joining the Sky Blues

Coventry City's summer transfer activity so far

Shrewsbury Town fans have expressed their disappointment after their skipper Abu Ogogo has left the club.

The 28-year-old midfield enforcer, who has been described by one Shrews' supporter as the club's most important player over the last three years, has turned down a new deal at New Meadow and is understood to be heading to Coventry City .

Sky Blues boss Mark Robins has already pinched Town's popular left-back Junior Brown on a free, after the defender rejected fresh terms in favour of a move to the Ricoh Arena , and his team-mate Ogogo is now set to follow him.

City fans are eagerly awaiting confirmation of his move as Shrews fans come to terms with losing the popular holding midfielder.

Here's of what Town fans have said:

Paul Woodham said: "Big loss to the shrews."

Derek Caslin said: "Pure energy and engine in midfield. The ground he covers is crazy, not going to be pinging 40 yard balls , but wins his tackles all over the park, we missed him in play off final massively. If he stays fit you have the heartbeat of your team right there.

"Junior Brown excellent too, easily two of our best, not looking forward to playing you guys."
