Coventry City were last in action eight weeks ago due to the coronavirus pandemic, but the EFL is determined to restart the season.
No date has yet been set and the current campaign could run through the summer.
This throws up a problem given that players' contracts only run to June 30.
Fifa want those deals to be extended until the end of the season, whenever that may be, but clubs will not be legally bound to keep players on.
With that in mind, here we run down when every first-team player's contract at City ends.
The loanees
City have four young loan players on their books currently, with many of them important members of the side that have placed themselves so well heading into the run-in.
Liam Walsh, of Bristol City, has played 33 times for Robins in all competitions this season, and has contributed three goals from midfield – including that mesmerising solo effort in the win over Rochdale.
Another midfielder in Callum O’Hare has also found his place in this successful outfit.

On loan from Aston Villa for the campaign, he’s played 39 times and netted four goals, the most recent of those being in the victory at Southend United.
Sam McCallum, who completed a move to Premier League Norwich City in January, was loaned back to Coventry on transfer deadline day, but he’ll depart for Carrow Road for good come the summer.
Then there is Ryan Giles , who signed on loan from Wolves for the remainder of the season.
2020
Robins and City must make calls on a number of senior players ahead of the summer transfer window – much, of course, could depend on the division the club is plying its trade in next season.
Striker Jordy Hiwula, hasn’t played in the first team since the beginning of December and his deal is due to run out this summer.
Fellow forward Amadou Bakayoko also finds himself fighting to stay at the club beyond the end of this campaign.
Zain Westbrooke, who has broken into the side this term, is out of contract but when asked earlier this term Robins was hopeful a deal could be extended.

He must also decide on young pair Charlie Wakefield and Jordan Young , as well as Reise Allassani, who is currently out injured.
Junior Brown, on loan at Scunthorpe, also sees his deal expire this summer. As does Jordon Thompson, on loan at Wrexham, although there is an option for a further year in his contract.
2021
Jodi Jones will now remain at City until at least the end of next season after agreeing new terms in February upon his comeback from injury.
Fellow youngster Jordan Shipley signed a new deal last summer, until 2021, while midfield general and captain Liam Kelly’s three year deal, that he signed in the summer of 2018, runs out next term.
Experienced head at the back Kyle McFadzean agreed a two-year deal when he signed from Burton last summer, and as it stands he has one more year to go after this campaign – fellow defender Michael Rose signed a similar deal.
Then there’s Max Biamou. The forward was a key member of the side who won promotion winning side of 2018 - the three year extension that he agreed on the back of that success runs until 2021.
Centre-back Dominic Hyam bagged a new two-year contract, with the option for a further year, in December, while striker Jordan Ponticelli signed a four-year deal back in 2017.
2022
Injured Wesley Jobello, who is missing the rest of the season, signed a three-year contract having left Ajaccio last season.
Fellow winger Gervane Kastaneer also penned a three-year deal. He’s blown hot and cold since joining the Sky Blues in the summer and hasn’t featured since the middle of December.
Right-back Fankaty Dabo, who moved on a free transfer from Chelsea, was another summer arrival; so too was Jamie Allen. Both agreed three year deals and both have two years left, as have pair Marko Marosi and Matt Godden.
Goalkeeper Ben Wilson, restricted to cup appearances this season, has two more years after this one, as do left back Brandon Mason and summer import Josh Pask.
