Steve Harper has stepped down from his post as Newcastle United's goalkeeping coach with the club's Academy.
The long-serving Toon stopper has been working closely with Ben Dawson this season and helped guide the young Magpies to both the Premier League Cup final and Premier League 2 play-off final.
United also had an excellent run in the Checkatrade Trophy , beating four EFL teams to reach the latter stages before bowing out to this year's beaten finalists Sunderland.
Harper is leaving the position on excellent terms with the club but is set to pursue other opportunities in the game.
The ex-Hull City and United goalie has been working with Northern Ireland at international level but is currently signing off from his work with Newcastle at the Hong Kong 7s tournament.
Harper's last official game with the club was the 2-1 defeat against Southampton at St Mary's Stadium.
His exit marks the start of a summer of change at the club's Academy with new positions soon to be announced for an early start in July.
A new Under-23 coach is set to be appointed and a loan coordinator will address the club's poor record on temporary deals for youngsters.
