Nantwich shop to re-open as employee tests negative for coronavirus

The staff member is now able to leave self-quarantine

A Nantwich shop which closed because a worker was being tested for coronavirus will re-open tomorrow (Tuesday) after the employee’s results came back as negative.

Clarks on the High Street closed on Friday and is still shut today as the worker, who self-quarantined, was tested for the virus.

Now the company has confirmed  to CheshireLive the employee’s tests have come back as negative and it will be business as usual from tomorrow.

A spokesperson for Clarks said: “Clarks is pleased to confirm that our Nantwich store will be re-opening as normal from Tuesday February 18.

“The individual staff member affected has now had confirmation from Public Health England that they have tested negative for coronavirus and are able to leave self-quarantine. 

“Throughout this process Clarks has strictly and closely followed the guidance from Public Health England to ensure customer, public and staff safety. 

“As a business we will continue to support all our staff throughout this period and we are continuing to take steps at a local and national level to protect both public and staff safety both in line with and in addition to current government advice.”
