Bristol City goalkeeper Niki Maenpaa will stay at Bristol City after they triggered a clause in his contract.

The Finnish international signed a one-year deal last summer after a successful trial at the Robins, and will now stay at Ashton Gate for another season.

He made 27 appearances for the Robins this season and was generally the club's number one barring injury.

Elsewhere, the Robins have also offered contract extensions to a number of young players.

Rory Holden, JoJo Wollacott, Jake Andrews, George Dowling, Opi Edwards, Tom Harrison, James Morton, George Nurse, Ricardo Rees and Harvey Smith have all been offered new deals.

Alongside this, academy players James Burford, Marcus Day, Vincent Harper, Lochlan Robertson, Aaron Sainsbury, Zac Smith and Bradley Webb have been offered their first professional contracts.

However, there were no contract extensions offered to Jayden Ali, James Carey, Tom Richards, Joe Hall, Kieran Smith, Aaron Parsons and Chris Turner-Williams, meaning they all now depart Ashton Gate.

The seven players leaving Ashton Gate depart alongside the three senior players who were released earlier this month - Frank Fielding, Eros Pisano and Stefan Marinovic.
