Reaction to Bristol street fight after football match - anger and disbelief

A 26-year-old man has been arrested following the massive disturbance

Football fans have told of their anger, shock and disbelief following a street fight which resulted in two men being rushed to hospital.

The violence erupted outside the Spotted Cow in Bedminster following today’s game between Bristol City and Wolves.

Witnesses describe seeing fans clash on North Street before ambulance and police were called.

The fight broke out after Bristol City's win today

An Avon and Somerset Police spokesman confirmed neither of the men's injuries were believed to be life-threatening. A 26-year-old man has been arrested.

City beat Wolves 3-1 today

Scores of concerned residents have taken to social media this evening to condemn this evening violence.

Marlyn Truckle-Wattley wrote on Facebook: “Absolutely NOT surprised after seeing five coach loads of Wolves fans in our town, Thornbury, around lunchtime...most behaving but a LOT were worse for drink and rowdy...that was at lunchtime.”
