Birmingham City's 1-0 defeat at Leeds United ended in fractious circumstances with witnesses describing it as 'some of the worst violence I've seen'.
Blues were beaten by Kalvin Phillips' second half goal before mounting something of a rearguard action.
However, what had been a celebratory mood inside Elland Road as the hosts marked their centenary ended on a sour note after the final whistle.
Fans took footage of the trouble, and it showed police and stewards getting involved in the fracas. One fan is dragged bodily out of the stand and unceremoniously handcuffed on the pitch. Watch the video above.

One Leeds fan said on Twitter: “Police and stewards have been attacked and suffered the brunt of the violence. Lots of arrests taking place of Brum fans.
“Lots of violence and throwing of missiles from Birmingham City supporters at Elland Road attacking police and stewards. Dreadful scenes.”
Both sets of supporters goaded each other as stewards and police became involved and things boiled over into unpleasant scenes.

Blues boss Pep Clotet said afterwards: "Of course you don't want violence in the game anywhere. I just hope that no-one is hurt and calmed down as much as possible. You come to football to enjoy it and have a good day."

BBC Radio WM presenter Richard Wilford, who was reporting on the game at Elland Road and witnessed the scenes, said: "It did escalate to being some of worst violence I've seen for a considerable period of time inside a football ground."
Police confirmed 11 arrests were made, mainly for public order offences.
Some stewards suffered minor injuries during scenes described by a police chief as something "no-one would wish to see."
Now Leeds District Police are appealing for witnesses following disorder incidents inside and outside the ground after the fixture.
These included a public order incident in the Birmingham City supporters stand at the end of the game and a subsequent public order incident in the coach park outside Elland Road.
Police resources were deployed outside the ground between supporters during the incident which lasted for about 45 minutes before fans dispersed.

Chief Inspector Jon Arrowsuch, Match Commander of the event, said: “Our enquires are ongoing into the incidents which took place at this afternoon’s game.
“Police resources were deployed outside Elland Road and officers made 11 arrests in total for offences both inside and outside the ground. Clearly these were scenes no-one would wish to see and we will be examining CCTV footage and working with both clubs as we investigate what took place.
“Anyone who has information about public order offences committed is asked to contact Leeds District Police on 101 referencing Police log 531 of October 19.”
