West Bromwich Albion continue to search for a permanent manager after the departure of Darren Moore earlier this season.

Jimmy Shan took charge for the rest of the campaign but he failed to lead Albion back to the Premier League as they lost out to Aston Villa in the play-offs semi-finals.

The Baggies are now expected to bring in a new man as they look to win promotion to the top-flight next season.

It's very likely that a decision will be made within the next fortnight, with interviews between club and candidates beginning this week. Albion will be looking to get someone in and get an idea of their playing style and transfer wishes.

Vfl Wolfsburg manager Bruno Labbadia is the latest name in the frame for the job.

SportBild report that the 53-year-old is leaving the Bundesliga club with his contract expiring and is assessing his options with the Hawthorns a possible destination.

He has taken Wolfsburg into the Europa League next season with a sixth place finish.

His future

"I have been thinking about the future in the past few weeks and have now come to the conclusion that I am no longer available to Wolfsburg from the summer.

"We in the coaching team wanted to personally communicate the decision of the entire team, so we decided to do that before the international break. Now we are focusing on bringing the season to a successful end at full speed."

The German manager has admitted that he has already turned down two jobs after leaving Wolfsburg.

He could be set for a move abroad with reports of interest from China as well as West Brom while other Championship clubs are thought to be keeping close watch.
