Yahoo News Hollyoaks newcomer Tomi Ade shares more on shock boat stunt

Hollyoaks newcomer Tomi Ade has shared more details of the dramatic stunt scenes coming up in next week's hour-long special.
Tomi has been cast in the role of DeMarcus Westwood, who's the teenage son of established character Felix (Richard Blackwood).
DeMarcus will be one of the characters taking centre stage in Hollyoaks' Black to Front episode, which features an all-Black cast.
The 60-minute edition premieres on E4 on September 9 and is repeated on Channel 4 on September 10 – the broadcaster's Black to Front day showcasing Black talent.

Hollyoaks bosses have teased that DeMarcus's attempts to impress Felix end in disaster when they're both out sailing with Martine Deveraux (Kéllé Bryan).
Tomi explained: "In the stunt, basically I crash into Felix's boat and he falls in and then Martine has to jump in and save him from underwater.
"It's so cool because she actually dived into the water and Richard was at the bottom.
"Filming the stunt was so crazy. I can't even swim, so being on the lake was super scary, but everyone was super cautious and safe. We were out so far in the lake and they had a drone shot. Obviously, I didn't get in the water but I'm okay with that!"

On the special episode, he continued: "It's so important. As a young performer coming into a cast of all-Black actors, I feel so inspired just being here.
"Every day I've shot so far, I've been with like-minded people – people who look like me – and I'm not used to that, so just having this as a young performer, it gives me hope and it makes me want to push harder and go faster."
Tomi also paid particular tribute to one of his co-stars when asked to name the most exciting thing about joining Hollyoaks.

He said: "I think coming in as Richard Blackwood's son. It's been really, really cool.
"I feel like there hasn't really been a character like DeMarcus on the show yet, so I feel privileged to bring this sort of energy and level. I feel like it's new and fresh. It's super exciting – I love it."
Hollyoaks airs the Black to Front episode on Thursday, September 9 at 7pm on E4 and Friday, September 10 at 6pm on Channel 4. Selected omnibus episodes are available via Amazon Prime Video.
