Report: Tottenham and West Ham-linked Layvin Kurzawa prefers PL switch

A supposed transfer target of Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United is thought to prefer a move to the Premier League.

According to L’Equipe, Paris Saint-Germain left-back Layvin Kurzawa has turned down a multi-million euro signing-on bonus from Inter Milan, and has his sights set on the English top-flight.

Kurzawa is coming to the end of his contract at the Parc des Princes and can walk away for free in six months.

His situation could mean he departs the club this month, as it’s PSG’s last chance to secure a fee for him.

Apparently Kurzawa is the subject of interest from several big clubs according to Le Parisien, and intermediaries have already sent proposals to the player.

The French outlet go on to suggest Kurzawa is dispensible, with Thomas Tuchel able to use Abdou Diallo in rotation with Juan Bernat at left-back.

Foot Mercato reported a few weeks ago that Spurs and West Ham had both opened talks with the player’s representatives.

TBR’s view – Spurs and West Ham’s chance

It would seem Kurzawa is holding out for a move to English football, which is a boost for Spurs and the Hammers if there is indeed some interest in him and strengthening the left-back position.

Both sides have a need for the three-time Ligue 1 champion, but perhaps the Irons could do with him move with both Arthur Masuaku and Aaron Cresswell struggling to convince.

Kurzawa would be an inexpensive addition and is surely worth consideration by both London clubs this January, especially since he seems to fancy the Premier League.
