Arsenal supporters react to reported interest in Polish wonderkid Filip Marchwinski

Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Lech Poznan attacking midfielder Filip Marchwinski this summer despite previously having the Pole on trial – and Gunners supporters have reacted on Twitter.

Italian outlet CalcioMercato have claimed that 18-year-old Marchwinski is a target for Arsenal but The Gunners are just one of seven high-profile European sides interested in nabbing the Poland Under-19 international.

This season, Marchwinski has broken into the Poznan side on a regular basis – scoring four goals in 19 senior outings. He now has five goals in 24 games for the first team throughout his career, and such form has attracted attention from Europe.

Arsenal are one of seven clubs eyeing the attacking midfielder, but the Gunners face hefty competition from Italian giants Inter Milan and Juventus. German clubs Borussia Dortmund and Hoffenheim, Ajax and Atalanta are also keen.

The Gunners do boast attacking midfielders. Joe Willock has broken into the side on a more regular basis this season, while Mesut Ozil’s future is in doubt. Emile Smith-Rowe has been on fire during a loan spell with Huddersfield Town.

Arsenal supporters have reacted on Twitter to the reported news that the club are interested in signing Polish wonderkid Marchwinski this summer, and the majority believe he would be a top signing for the Gunners.
