Unsurprisingly, there are still question marks remaining about Paul Pogba's long term future at Old Trafford, while a host of top class talent have been linked with a move to the club.

James Maddison and Donny van de Beek have all been tipped to make the move to Old Trafford.

And the club have also reportedly gone back in for Bruno Fernandes, who they were heavily linked with throughout the summer.

And now, the transfer rumour mill is going into overdrive after  a ‘mystery’ player was spotted arriving at the club's Carrington training ground on Friday afternoon.

Images emerged of a man sitting in the back of a car appearing to hide his face.

The most likely arrival at Old Trafford does seem to be Fernandes, whose agents reportedly flew to London on Friday for talks over a potential transfer.

The player’s representatives met with Sporting Lisbon president Frederico Varandas and United chief executives Ed Woodward and Matt Judge in Mayfair before the weekend.

It is believed Red Devils are keen to strike a £55million deal with Sporting after injuries to key midfielders Pogba and Scott McTominay.
