Top 10 clubs in Europe with the most sponsorship revenue, including Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Liverpool

Manchester United's 69 sponsorship deals have earned the club an astonishing €269million [£235m] making them the top recipients in Europe's Big Five leagues.

CSM Sport & Entertainment, who conducted the research, identified 1,769 sponsorship deals, involving 1,156 companies in 50 different sectors.

This gives a total sponsorship investment of approximately €3.9billion [£3.4bn]across the five top leagues.

The Premier League earns the most in Europe, making over €1.2billion [£1bn] a year from 440 sponsorship agreements. With Germany’s Bundesliga next as 617 deals generate €734.7million [£641.5m].

Given it is a division which includes Barcelona and Real Madrid, it is slightly surprisingly Spain comes in third with €678.5million [£592.4m].

Meanwhile, Italy’s Serie A generates €439.3million [£383.6m] and France’s Ligue 1 generates €357.8million [£312.4m].
