These Leeds fans may have discovered manager Marcelo Bielsa’s ‘secret’ coaching weapon

The Elland Road boss is a maverick and is quickly winning over supporters

Another season, another manager for Leeds.

However, things seem different this time with Marcelo Bielsa in the dugout.

Before the season got going, he explained how he wants his side to play.

"We want to impose our own style.  The idea is to play in the opponents half," he told the club's official website.

"That means we will dominate our opponent if we can impose this idea.  Our idea is to attack more than to defend.  In case we defend, the goal is to go back to attack as soon as possible.  We will try to link the three lines of our team without playing long balls.  These are our goals, but in moments during the game or our opponents, could make us do things differently than to what we plan."

The man known as 'El Loco' can definitely be considered a maverick and United fans think they've already spotted a creative way of allowing him to communicate with players on the other side of the pitch - by planting a coach, complete with earpiece, in another stand.

Leeds beat Stoke 3-1 in their first Championship game of the season and on Twitter, @GJLindley posted a picture asking: "Did anyone else spot the coach in the east stand giving out orders to Alioski & Douglas"?

Whether it was an excitable fan or a coach has not been confirmed.

After the win, Bielsa said this about the Elland Road faithful: "The atmosphere was even bigger than what I thought, the fans were connected to the messages of the team in every second of the game. I would like to thank the fans for their support and I hope that our football will create a positive reaction from the supporters.”
