A man jumped to his death from a luxury Manhattan hotel on Park Avenue South on Monday morning, police and fire officials said.
The man, who was not immediately identified, plummeted from Room 1112 at the Royalton Park Avenue Hotel near 29th Street about 11:45 a.m., authorities said.
Police found several suicide notes inside the room, authorities said.
A number of people called 911 after they saw the man jump, and he was declared dead at the scene, police said.
A worker who was delivering supplies to a nearby office building said he saw the man’s body lying about 10 feet away from his car.
“I was shocked,” the deliveryman told The Post. “I’ve never seen that in my life. Terrified. It was crazy.”
A front-desk attendant at the Royalton Park Avenue said, “It’s very sad,” when reached by phone but declined further comment.
