Book review: The problem with problems by Rachel Rooney and illustrated by Zehra Hicks.

Welcome to my latest blog piece. I absolutely love this book I’m about to share and highly recommend you keep a look out for a copy.

Published by Andersen Press, A Problem with Problems successfully discusses an important topic in a way in which many young readers will understand and benefit from. Author of the book Rachel Rooney and illustrator Zehra Hicks have certainly created a good un here.

Book review on mammafilz.com the problem with problems

The problem with problems is that they can be super annoying however, this book puts a whole new spin on problems and also shares some super tips for young readers.

Completed in a fun and engaging way the nameless main character in this book presents problems as…creatures. How fab!

She brilliantly shares their many annoyances and their sneaky behaviour including how they can stand in your way, and change your perspective on things. As the book continues it also shares how such creatures don’t like to be shared, encouraging readers to share problems wherever and whenever.

The illustrations throughout the book are fun and colourful and are so in keeping with its target audience. They are also brilliantly inclusive, happily representing the world around us.

I’m sure many will agree, this is a fabulous book exploring problems realistically and offers great practical advice.
