Where are the World Cup 1970 matches vs. England and Italy and the 1966 World Cup final? Although Germany lost two of these matches they played fantastic football there.
Hello, certainly there are many matches in which Germany played in top quality, but I tried to think about the very best. The defense and Maier played very poorly against Italy in 1970, and against England in 1966 I don’t think you could consider it as one of their best games ever (hey, they lost these two matches!). And against England, in 1970, I was very close to include it in the list, but I thought the options were already too many! Always nice to know your thoughts about this blog. Thank you!
