All signs point to Red Dead Redemption 2 being announced for PC on August 19 at Google's Stadia Connect. A rumor on Reddit connects the dots of recent news regarding Rockstar and Stadia to predict a Holiday 2019 release for Red Dead 2 on Stadia.

Rockstar's games are some of the most profitable of all time, but it takes its time to port these massive games to PC. GTA V fans had to wait nearly two years before the game came to PC in April 2015, and the original Red Dead Redemption was never even released on PC. This delay between initial release and PC release is to be expected from Rockstar, but if the rumors are true this could be the studio's quickest turnaround yet.

Rockstar's logo was shown at the Stadia unveiling press conference. Alongside companies like Bethesda and Bandai Namco, Rockstar was revealed to be a Stadia partner and to be releasing at least one title on Stadia at the November launch. It's highly unlikely Rockstar would have a new game ready, so this is likely GTA V or Red Dead Redemption 2.

Thanks to a teaser back in March we can suspect the cowboy game in Stadia's lineup is Red Dead Redemption 2. A screenshot was quickly shown in a slideshow before Google's GDC conference. These factors seem to be pretty convincing evidence that Red Dead 2 will be announced for Stadia on August 19 with a release date coinciding with the Stadia launch in November.

The Reddit post also suggests Red Dead 2 will not see a Steam release and be exclusive to the Rockstar social club and Epic Games Store. While it seems like the trendy move to make, there isn't much evidence to support this. Stadia is a safe bet, but beyond that it's still unknown if the game will be a Stadia exclusive or if it will see release on other PC platforms.

It's unclear if, like with previous Rockstar ports, the PC version of Red Dead Redemption 2 will have brand new features. The possibility for Stadia to give PC players the experience they want while also letting anyone stream one of 2018's best games to their phone is exciting nonetheless.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is out now for PS4 and Xbox One.
