League One rivals Swindon Town have reportedly seen a Deadline Day bid for Rúben Lameiras rejected.

Lameiras hasn’t started in the league for Coventry since November, but has started in the Checkatrade Trophy games for The Sky Blues, and scored the winning penalty against Swansea City U21’s last Tuesday.

Lameiras’ contract is also up in the summer, but Swindon have been knocked back in their late effort to sign the Portuguese playmaker.

Since joining The Sky Blues in August 2015, the former Tottenham Hotspur youngster has made 59 appearances for the Club, scoring 6 goals.

Lameiras is not the only City player to have been subjected to Deadline Day interest, with City accepting a third offer from Rotherham United for captain Jordan Willis late last night, and interest remaining in Cian Harries and Ben Stevenson.

Reports suggest however that Championship side Wolves have given up in their efforts to sign Ryan Haynes.
