Everton may look for a left-footed winger instead of Ryan Fraser.
According to the Liverpool Echo, Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser has admirers at Everton – but Marco Silva actually wants a left-footed wide man.
Fraser, 25, enjoyed a stunning Premier League campaign, racking up seven goals an 14 assists; no Premier League player set up more goals than the Scot this season.
Unsurprisingly, Fraser is now attracting major interest, and pretty much all of the top six have been linked of late, whilst Everton are another suitor.
The Liverpool Echo now report that Fraser does have admirers at Everton, with some at Goodison Park believing that he would be a great signing.
However, manager Silva has other ideas, believing that he instead needs a left-footed winger instead, in order to bring more balance to his side.
Silva has a host of right-footed wingers. Bernard, Richarlison, Theo Walcott and Ademola Lookman fit that bill, as do returning loanees Henry Onyekuru, Yannick Bolasie and Kevin Mirallas.
It therefore makes sense to bring in a left-footer, and the likes of Barcelona’s Malcom, Ajax’s David Neres and Lyon’s Bertrand Traore – who have all been linked with the Toffees – tick the boxes for Silva, despite Fraser’s quality.
