Should West Brom and Swansea consider swap deal involving Nacer Chadli and Jefferson Montero?

Both West Bromwich Albion and Swansea City could benefit from swapping the two players.

According to the Mirror, the Swans will move for Baggies winger Nacer Chadli once Gylfi Sigurdsson’s move to Everton is complete, and Tony Pulis will have to prioritise the signing of an established winger in a bid to replace the troublesome Belgian.

The West Brom boss has become notions for his frugal approach to transfers, however, so the task of finding quality along with value for money will obviously be difficult in the current market.

And with this in mind, the Black Country outfit should consider taking Swansea ace Jefferson Montero as part of any kind of deal for Chadli.

The lively 27-year-old moved to the Liberty Stadium in the summer of 2014, and despite an impressive start to life in Wales, he has struggled to make an impact over the past 12 months or so.

He does still have a lot to offer, however, what with his blistering pace and direct playing style, and could have a real positive influence on Tony Pulis’ side.

The Ecuadorian can play anywhere along the front-line, and would offer the Baggies a real threat in the wide attacking areas.

His value isn’t quite as high as Chadli’s however, so Swansea would still have to offer some cash to West Brom, as well as the services of Montero, but it is a deal that should be considered by all parties concerned, nevertheless.

And with Pulis’ obvious reluctance to spend serious cash, the prospect of bringing the Swansea winger into the club as part of a deal to sell the Belgian would surely prove to be an attractive one.
