About Basketball
Welcome to University of York, and welcome to the Basketball Club! We have 3 university teams - Men's 1s, Men's 2s, and Women's 1s. These play in the BUCS league and the Northern Cup, and we've been doing very well! We also run the College Basketball League, in which you will join your College's Basketball Team and play in mixed teams against other colleges. You'll even have the chance to play possibly against Durham teams in the annual College Varsity Tournament!
Looking for competitive level basketball with other seasoned players and universities? Come to trials (SIGN UP CLOSED - info only) to score a spot in our university teams. Looking for a more relaxed atmosphere whilst playing regular weekly games? Contact your college's sports coordinator for more info on your college team!
If you are a complete beginner and want to try the sport, not to worry! We're looking at organising beginners' sessions this year, which will be run by members of our university teams. Stay tuned to our socials for more info. We'd love to see you!

General Schedule 2023/24
Uni training: 6-8pm Tuesdays, 7-10pm Fridays, 5-7pm Saturdays
College League: 5-7pm Fridays; for college training times ask your team
League/Cup games are played on a Wednesday, which are often followed by the club's social nights.
AU Fee Required
This club is a Black tier sports club.
Upon purchasing the membership, this tier fee by the Sports Union will be automatically added onto the final amount.
