New York Knicks: Jalen Brunson Goes Full Michael Jordan With 41-Point Explosion in Game 6 Close-Out of 76ers

The New York Knicks needed another special performance from Jalen Brunson on Thursday night. The Knicks had an opportunity to close out their first-round series against the Philadelphia 76ers, but the fact that they were playing in the Wells Fargo Center meant that the odds were stacked against New York.

Well, Brunson decided that he would answer the bell in a major way.

Brunson went off yet again on Thursday night. The All-Star point guard exploded for 41 points on 13-of-27 shooting, to go along with three rebounds, 12 assists, and three triples.

Over his last four games, the Knicks superstar is averaging a staggering 41.8 points per game. In fact, the last time a player scored at least 39 points in four straight postseason games was in 1993. The dude who accomplished this feat before Brunson matched it on Thursday is none other than the GOAT himself, Michael Jordan.

To be mentioned in the same breath as His Airness is an absolute honor for any player. For his part, there’s no denying that Brunson deserves the comparison after proving to the basketball world that he is a bona fide 1A superstar.

More of the same will be expected from the Knicks guard now that they’ve set up a date against Tyrese Haliburton and the Indiana Pacers in the next round.
