MINEHEAD Barbarians Under 9s crossed the county border into Devon to play against their counterparts from South Molton.

With the weather conditions being wet, windy and cold the players could have struggled with the conditions, but both sides adapted and played some great rugby .

The South Molton team had some players who had great side steps which gave them a couple of tries, but Minehead came back with some good attacking lines getting them across the gain line and some strong running and passing produced some exciting tries.

The Barbarians' defensive work was outstanding with everyone putting in strong tackles and pushing South Molton to the touchline and into touch play that gave Minehead yet another win .

The difficulty comes for the coaches to pick award winners when each and everyone of them has played so well together. They are always supportive of each other, never critical or moan which makes this under 9s a very special bunch of players a joy to coach .
