The inaugural Southern Disability Grand Prix proved so successful that organisers SportsAble are determined to make the two-day tournament an annual event.
A total of 61 disabled table tennis players came from across Great Britain to compete in 20 different events over the weekend at Cippenham Table Tennis Centre.
Paralympians Mark Palmer and David Wetherill were among the medal winners.
Palmer won gold on the first day while Wetheril also scooped gold on day one and added a bronze on day two.
There was also notable success for SportsAble members.
Richard Barton, from Maidenhead, won silver in the men’s wheelchair class 1&2, as did Lochlan O'Higgins the band C men’s wheelchair open class, while there were bronze medals for Lucie Bouron in the wheelchair doubles and Johnson Mall in the band C men’s wheelchair open class.
SportsAble's Nicko Anderson won three medals taking silver in the men’s wheelchair class 4& 5, bronze in the wheelchair doubles and silver in the men’s wheelchair open class.
