The under-14s lifted the trophy after a superb showing against Hawcoat Park but their under-16s just missed out against a strong Penrith outfit.
Hawcoat Park started well with an early try. Egremont responded with a try by Luke Williams converted from wide out by Noel Branthwaite 7-5.
The game then flowed from end to end, played in an excellent spirit and Egremont overcame the loss temporarily of two players to the sin bin for minor offences.
Luke Williams scored his second try and there were further tries from James Harrison and Jack Telford to seal a close hard fought victory for the Egremont team.
Jamie Brown scored two fantastic, opportunistic tries in a first half dominated territorially by Penrith, who scored one penalty to make it 3-10 at half time.
In the second half Egremont threw everything they had at Penrith but could not get over their try line – one penalty being all they had to show.
Penrith were now the opportunists, scoring two break-out tries, with a bounce of the ball in their favour literally deciding the day.
