Latchford Albion 16 Blackpool Scorpions 32
A SEVEN-week lay off and a weakened side conspired to defeat Albion as a much bigger Blackpool side took advantage of late injuries.
Blackpool may have scored first but it was Latchford who were leading at the break following tries by Iain Fowler and Dave Levenston, each converted by Andy Rowlinson for a half time lead of 12-6.
Damion Lyon then finished off a great team move that spanned the length of the field to score in the corner, with the goal missed for a 16-6 lead.
But injuries to key pack members took their toll and while down to 13 fit men the bigger Blackpool team took advantage, running in four unanswered tries in the last 20 minutes to snatch the game from the hands of the Latchford side.
