Whitefield Volleyball Tournament

The Committee of the Whitefield Tournament would like to pass on a message.

The Committee hope it finds you all well and their thoughts are with all of you who have dealt with the difficulties of the last year and they hope that they can bring a little bit of sunshine into our world, a little bit of hope and light.

In the current situation, they can't make any promises as they all know things can change day to day, week to week. They know not what this summer will bring, but if there is a chance that it will bring us an opportunity to spend a (hopefully) balmy weekend in Bristol playing volleyball with our favourite people, then they will be doing everything they can to make that happen.

If they are able to go ahead with a tournament that fits within the rules and guidance in July, then they will go ahead; the venue is booked and they will be ready to roll. Their main focus will absolutely be the safety and well being of everyone concerned and they will ONLY go ahead if they can do everything possible to ensure that it is a safe event for all, following Government and Volleyball England guidance.

As a committee, they will be meeting again in around 6-8 weeks to review the situation and start to consider the next steps and what can be done to prepare if it seems it may be a viable option. Once they have had a meeting, they will update you again on the situation.

If there are external changes that mean it looks more or less likely to be an option and they can let you know the impact then they will.

With all of this in mind, please update your diaries with the weekend of the 17th and 18th July and they will have everything crossed that they will all be living in a world where a volleyball tournament is just another normal thing we do.

From the Whitefield Volleyball Tournament Committee.
