Corbridge United Junior Football Club Award Icon Runner Up

Northumberland

Corbridge Unitied Junior Football Club offers access to football for youngsters between the ages of 6 and 17, creating a safe environment to develop skills and meet new friends. Formed in 1879, the club is now the oldest surviving football club in the North East. At the heart of the local community, the club is run entirely by volunteers, who give their time as FA Qualified coaches running training sessions and managing teams across a number of leagues and cup competitions, as well as a dedicated team managing the club’s administration. We play home matches at Tynedale Rugby Club. As the ages of the youngsters changes, so do the rules and requirements for pitches, balls and goal sizes change. As a result we have a range of equipment that we need to maintain and provide to ensure we can continue to offer young people in the area the chance to enjoy playing their part in a local football team with friends. We are currently in need of updating club equipment used by teams. A Venator Together Fund Grant will help us to secure the funds we need to upgrade our equipment over the coming season for the benefit of the youngsters who play at Corbridge and all our volunteer coaches.
