There was a huge turnout with students competing in the karate kata, judo ground work and sumo.
All students fought hard in the ground work, with Arron Pemberton taking out the win, followed by Austin Pemberton.
Byron Powell won the karate kata competition with precision and good timing.
Shantelle Saxby demonstrated good skill in the sumo and earned herself a medal.
Morgan Zerbes-Tyler demonstrated great backing rolling skills.
Sensei Mick Smalley, a judo eighth dan, also gave a master class on the finer points of judo break falls and o-goshi, a major hip throw.
This was an amazing learning opportunity for all the students.
All students are looking forward to the next competition day.
Thank you to all the parents who helped with the mats.
