HIGH SCHOOL BOWLING: Suburban Council announces girls, boys all-stars

SCHENECTADY, NY – On Wednesday night, the Suburban Council announced the Bowlers of the Year and First Team for the 2022-2023 season. Troy senior Olivia DeCitise was named the Bowler of the Year for the boy’s division, posting an average of 221. Colonie’s Amy Chrzanowski, who bowled to a 209 average, was honored as the Girls’ Bowler of the Year.

Columbia came in first place in the Suburban Council girls’ tournament, with a team score of 3356. Shenendehowa posted a team score of 3819 to win the league tournament for the boys.

Marissa Bogholtz led Columbia with a 631 triple and 255 high-game.  Alexis Gaudette chipped in with a 603 triple and 265 game-high, the best score of the day. Selena Wolf, of Schenectady, posted a 655 triple for the best individual series.

Columbia finished the regular season with a record of 14-0. Colonie-Shaker finished with a 12-2 overall record.

Jonathan Mills led the way for Shen with a 699 triple and 277 high-game. Jeremy Shafer added a 679 triple and 257 high-game. Shaker’s Joey Treffiletti had the best game of the tournament, with a 278, and Saratoga’s Macallan Gagne had the best series, at 729.
