LORETTO, Pa. – The St. Francis University football team is set to host Wagner at 7 p.m. Thursday in a Northeast Conference contest that will be televised on CBS Sports Network.

The game marks the first nationally televised linear football game in league history.

Coming off a season-high seven catches for 87 yards at Stonehill, Shanksville-Stonycreek graduate and St. Francis (1-4, 1-1 NEC) wide receiver Dawson Snyder is fourth in the NEC with 286 receiving yards and seventh with 16 receptions. He eclipsed 1,000 receiving yards in his career against Stonehill and now sits at 1,051.

Despite going 10 of 25 at Stonehill, Cole Doyle remains atop the NEC with a 57.3 completion percentage and 171.4 passing yards per game average. Jordan Jackson, Damon Horton and Doyle lead the rushing attack with 168, 167 and 152 yards, respectively.

QuaSean Holmes still tops the team with two rushing touchdowns despite missing two games. The Red Flash are third in the conference with 317.2 average total yards of offense.

Carter Glassmyer earned the first NEC defensive player of the week selection for St. Francis after his 13 total tackles, 21/2 tackles for loss and one sack at Stonehill.

He has 141/2 total tackles per game through the first two conference games leads the league. Overall, Glassmyer is tied for third in the NEC with 41 total tackles this season. Blye Hill and Pierre Royster both recorded their first collegiate interceptions against Stonehill, while Bedford graduate Mercury Swaim earned his second forced fumble and first fumble recovery.

St. Francis’ Aidan Cirulli holds a punting average of 38.8 yards this season, is tied for fourth in the NEC with six punts inside the 20 and has three punts of at least 50 yards. Mac Plummer is 4-for-5 on field goal attempts this season with a long of 36 yards against Sacred Heart. As a team, St. Francis is second in the NEC with 13.4 average punt return yards on seven attempts.

St. Francis earned its first victory of the season 15-10 over Stonehill on Sept. 30.

The Red Flash held a 3-0 lead at halftime, which was the first time St. Francis shut out an opponent in a half this season.

Stonehill took a 7-3 lead in the third quarter on a 15-yard passing touchdown.

St. Francis responded in the fourth quarter with a 17-yard passing touchdown to Snyder and regained a 9-7 lead after the extra point was no good. Stonehill kicker Perry Shelbred converted a 51-yard attempt with 3:38 remaining in the game for a 10-9 lead. St. Francis produced an 11-play, 75-yard drive capped off by a Deondre Scott touchdown with 19 seconds remaining to clinch its five-point victory. The game was St. Francis’ first victory when trailing heading into the fourth quarter since Aug. 31, 2019, at Lehigh.

Wagner is 2-3 overall and 2-0 in the NEC. The Seahawks defeated Sacred Heart 17-10 and topped Merrimack 30-27. Wagner has lost to Rutgers, Navy and Fordham.

Quarterback Steven Krajewski leads the Seahawks with a 52.8 completion percentage, 638 passing yards, five touchdowns and two interceptions. He has added 32 rushes for 60 yards and has the only two rushing touchdowns of the season for Wagner. Zachary Palmer-Smith leads with 303 rushing yards, while Trevor Short is the leader with 198 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Wagner’s John Gioia is third in the NEC with 42 total tackles, while Justin Reilly ranks seventh with 40. Gioia also leads the program with 41/2 tackles for loss and has one interception. Junior Wily leads the team with two interceptions and has 38 total tackles. Kicker Ryan Liszner is 4-for-5 on field goal attempts this season with a long of 43 yards.

Wagner holds a 23-8 all-time advantage over the Red Flash since the first meeting in 1992. St. Francis won the first game 21-18 before a 14-game losing streak from 1992-2005. Wagner won 21 of the first 24 games played between 1992-2014.

Since then, the Red Flash own a 5-2 record over the Seahawks and are on a three-game winning streak.
