Thornford Short Mat Bowling Club
Thornford Short Mat Bowls Club is proud to have been playing bowls at the Village Hall since 1998. The Club meets every Tuesday afternoon between 2pm and 5pm (we have a summer break during July and August) and on Thursday evenings between 7pm to 10pm all year. We have a break over Christmas and New Year.
We play in house matches throughout the year and arrange social times such as our Christmas target bowls, and an autumn skittles evening. We hold our annual Christmas dinner at the pub during which prizes are awarded for matches won during the year.
For members who enjoy competition we have two teams who compete in matches both at home and away in the surrounding areas.
Thornford is a friendly club and a warm welcome awaits anyone who would like to give bowls a try or indeed return to bowling.
