The much-loved pair will make a comeback to television later this year in the series "The Hairy Bikers Go West".

The new show will see them explore the gastronomic delights of the west coast while pedalling their bikes along a beautiful route from Scotland to Devon.

Dave spoke about his struggle with “brutal” chemotherapy back in March this year.

He said: “I’m still having it. I lost so much weight, then it’s a battle to get your calories in.

“Now I’ve got to the point where I’m at the weight I want to be, and I want to maintain it.”

Dave lost his hair during chemotherapy, which he described as "brutal".
