Worthing paid their sporting neighbours a visit when they showed off their new kit.
And it all got quite competitive on the bowling green, according to boss Adam Hinshelwood.
The Mackerel Men visit rivals Bognor in their penultimate friendly tomorrow night (7.45pm) as they prepare to tackle Vanarama National League south football for the first time.
They host Wycombe on Tuesday before the league opener at home to Dover a week on Saturday.
Players donned their eye-catching new all-white third kit, which is on sale online, and had a session at the neighbouring Worthing Pavilion Bowling Club.
Hinshelwood said: “I think it all got a bit competitive between the boys!
“The club want to build that relationship, to link up the two clubs.”
Worthing have agreed deals with two players who have been on trial recently.
Nodirbek Bobomurodov, a forward originally from Uzbekistan, and former Eastbourne Borough midfielder Charlie Towning both played in the 3-0 Isthmian League Charity Shield win over Horsham on Tuesday.
Two further trialists are also set to sign.
