They say motorcycling stirs the soul and I couldn't agree more. Maybe it's the fact that power is connected to your arms instead of legs, maybe it's the engine under your torso or maybe it's the ability to take corners by just shifting your body weight, whatever.

My enthusiasm for 2 wheels was unwillingly shifted to 4 only because of the lack of safety on Indian roads. Nevertheless the thrills that come with driving a good bike on a good road are hard to replicate on four wheels.

It's great to watch biker groups who ride well - sheer poetry in motion - stops are anticipated well in advance, 2-3 gears dropped to slow down, waiting for a clear road ahead with a smooth swing out followed by acceleration.

Attended the Brooklands Motorcyle exhibition a couple of weeks ago. A huge collection of vintage, classic, sports, racing as well as newer motocycles were on display.
