BERE Alston Bowling Club played host to a short mat tournament over the weekend of October 31/November 1.

The winners were Callington with four wins out of four. The team players were Pauline Rutherford, Les Rutherford, John Banks and Alan Jones.

Runners up were Bere Alston also with four wins out of four but a lesser shot difference. The team players were Rita Lampey, Jim Finch, Louis Inacio and Barry McPhillips.

On Sunday the winners were Saltash Wesley with the Buccaneers runners up. The Buccaneer team were Ann Russell, Steve Maiden, Mollie Jones and John Sloane.
