WILL you the next dance star? St Helens own five times award winning UC Crew are opening their doors to new starters this March after a hugely successful 2012 dominating Street Dance Competitions in the North West and competing in competitions internationally.

Tom Glynn of UC Crew, told the Star: “We have been working with the St Helens community since 2005 and have taught break dancing and djing to around 1,000 young people.

“Our usual activities include practice sessions, lessons, workshops, performances, trips, youth exchanges, club nights, hip hop theatre and creating our own events.

“We have competed across the UK and Europe and been involved in youth exchanges with the German town of Stuttgart.”

UC Crew’s top honours include Young Volunteer of the Year Award, St Helens Youth Arts Awards for Outstanding Achievement and St Helens Voluntary Arts Sector Award.

SO if you fancy learning to spin, flip, freeze and dance like the stars then you can attend lessons at Queens Park Leisure Centre, on Fridays 5:00-6:00 and Sutton Leisure Centre and Wednesdays, 5:30-6:30. UC Crew welcomes all youngsters aged seven and above.
