Dutch painter with a unique and recognizable style, Vincent Van Gogh is one of the greatest artists of his time. Born on March 30, 1853 and died on July 29, 1890, Van Gogh produced more than 2,000 paintings and drawings during his short career. Although today the painter is considered an artistic genius, he did not enjoy such a reputation during his lifetime: he is the perfect figure of thecursed artist.
His tragic fate and the singularity of his works make him a unique and much admired artist: the Starry Night, his self-portraits or the painting of his room in Arles are paintings known throughout the world.
