Hertfordshire Mavericks announce Netball Superleague squad

Hertfordshire Mavericks have exclusively confirmed their squad for the Netball Superleague with Sky Sports.

All eight Superleague clubs have announced their 15-player squads for the upcoming campaign, but we have the first look at the new Mavericks line-up.

Hertfordshire Mavericks

Full squad: Summer Artman, Sophie Carter, Ella Clark, Michelle Drayne, Georgina Fisher, Layla Guscoth, Sophie Hankin, Joline Johansson, Lindsay Keable, Samantha May, Vicky Oyesola, Bethany Sutherland, Louisa Watson, Samantha Wallace, Scarlett Williams.

Coach Dan Ryan has named his first Thunder squad since taking over from Tracey Neville this summer.

New signings Natalie Haythornthwaite, Malysha Kelly and Liana Leota join a 15-player Thunder squad that is a mix of youth and experience.

Young shooter Amy Clinton's good form in the Next Generation and Mike Greenwood Trophy pre-season tournaments has been rewarded with a call-up to the Superleague team. Beccy Hoult is also making the step up from the NPL squad.

She joins a number of senior players with international experience, including Jamaican defender Kelly, Silver Fern Leota and several England-capped players.

Team Bath

Director of Netball Jess Thirlby and head coach Anna Stembridge have named a dynamic squad, blending international and Superleague experience with some of the sport's most promising young players.

Captained by England defender Eboni Beckford-Chambers, the squad also includes Wales goal shooter Chelsea Lewis plus Karla Mostert and Lenize Potgieter of South Africa.

Yorkshire Jets

Coach Anna Carter has made a series of high-profile signings to play alongside her experienced Jets set-up.

One of South Africa's leading netballers Vanes-Mari du Toit has also joined the franchise. The 26-year old from Cape Town was the first from her country to be invited to an Australian ANZ franchise in 2013 when she played for Adelaide Thunderbirds. She can play at both ends of the court - as goal shooter and goal defence.

Surrey Storm

Storm have retained the core of 10 players from the squad that was crowned 2015 Champions, including captain Hannah Reid.

New arrivals include ex-Hertfordshire Mavericks and England mid-court player Sophia Candappa and 22-year-old WA/C Yasmin Parsons, who joins from Team Bath.

The Dragon have named seven players returning from last season and seven new signings including two Fijian international players and Kyra Jones.
